What did you eat for breakfast this morning? Nothing? Cereal? Granola Bar? Protein Bar? Eggs?
I’m Amy Miller, a crunchy mom, and researcher of all things natural for over 10 years. Together with my husband, we are the founders of 3LifeEssentials. We are advocating wellness in all areas of our lives - spiritual, healthcare and in our lifestyle. Our team is on a mission to help others to feel better and heal their health.
Today I want to share with you why we do Whole30 twice a year and what our favorite Whole30 breakfast is!
What is one hard thing you’ve done in your life that was so worth it in the end? Our family has decided that it just makes sense to us to take more time with our daily health habits NOW so we can increase our likelihood of a longer, more vibrant life. One way we do that is by RESETing our habits a few times every year. We do this by using doTERRA's Cleanse & Restore Kit, essential oils and oil supplements, and by Whole30 - it's 30 days of saying "yes" to whole, unprocessed foods and "no" to inflammatory foods like grains, dairy, legumes, and sugar. It's something we do as a family. Is it hard? Some would say yes, but we say that there are so many harder things like losing a loved one. The Millers - we do hard things and those hard things are so worth it.
Okay, let’s talk about our favorite breakfast!
Here’s what you’ll need:
1 ripe banana, mashed
2 tablespoons chia seeds
1/2 cup milk, (Make this recipe dairy-free by using unsweetened Almond or Coconut Milk)
Combine ingredients in blender, cover, and refrigerate
If your banana was very ripe, you won't need any additional sweetener.
The next morning: add your favorite toppings: Unsweetened Cocoa powder (1/4 - 1/2 teaspoon), Almonds, Walnuts, Pecans, Flaxseed, Fresh Coconut, Raisins
So what do you think? Will you try this? I would love to hear what you think if you do!
